Project SEE

The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Delta Research and Education Foundation (DREF), in partnership with the AAAS Directorate for Education and Human Resources Programs, are developing and implementing a 5-year Science and Everyday Experiences (SEE) Initiative, an informal science education project funded by the National Science Foundation. The SEE Initiative will help parents and caregivers of African American elementary and middle school age children (K-8) to develop effective ways to support children's informal science and mathematics learning experiences. SEE includes leadership and professional development activities to both prepare and mobilize the members of the 800+ Delta Chapters to serve as life-long informal science education organizers for family and community science events or as parent educators.

Wilson Alumnae conducts science and mathematics learning experiences for kids in the Wilson County area. This includes science fairs, outings and training sessions with community leaders and organizations.

If your child is interested, please feel free to contact us.
